Welcome to your neighbourhood coffee shop. We’re a social enterprise, which means we’re not here to make big profits.
Instead, we want to make Kingsholm a more positive place to live and work.
Find us at 69 Alvin St, Gloucester, GL13EH
We’re in the old co-operative building on Alvin Street, in the heart of Kingsholm – opposite the doctors’ surgery, near the chemist, butcher, hairdresser, and garden machinery shop.
We’re also in shouting distance of Gloucester Rugby Stadium. Join us on match day: “Come on Glaaaarrrsterrrrrrr!”.
We have a covered bike store at the rear of Roots – follow the alley down to the gated courtyard.
Please lock your bike. We are not responsible for bikes or other items left in the courtyard.
There’s two-hour parking on Alvin Street, and plenty more in nearby roads too (please check signage and local parking regulations).
Only a few streets away you can park for free all day
There’s a relatively inexpensive pay & display car park in Hare Street.
We’ve done our best to make sure everyone can enjoy spending time at Roots.
The building has:
a low serving counter
an accessible toilet
access front, rear
access to parking on the street outside
If there is anything you think we could do to make your time at Roots more comfortable then please get in touch and let us know.
Our spacious top floor is available to hire for meetings, exercise classes – anything you like really!
We can provide:
Audio visual equipment
Tables and chairs
Just ask if there’s anything else you need and we’ll find it if we can.
